Some things are never just Black and White

I was working on this blog post and for some reason had to force reload my Browser and I'd lost all that I wrote. It was a post dedicated to the cat, her history and a bit about her personality. As I struggled to remember how I had everything put together before reloading webpages on my Browser, it came to me. Keep it simple stupid....

This is Oreo, or "O2" as we call her. We already had an Oreo when she arrived.

"O2" is about 4 years old now.

She was not very happy to be adopted into our home. She made that quite clear on day one. Her and I had our differences early on but we gave each other a chance.

A year later she finds much comfort being in my lap or at my feet in the office and will typically follow me around the house when I am home.

This little story reminds me of a good friend of mine. Someone, who when I met, I never could have imagined that, in a little over a year later, we would be as close as we are now. I guess the moral of this story is that despite your initial impressions, learn to give everyone that you meet a chance, and learn to communicate, and get to know each other, because when you do, new doors will open and life may take some unexpected pleasant turns.
